This policy applies to all members of The Dental Practice who engage in any form of social media activity, whether personally or professionally, in a way that may affect the practice's reputation, either directly or indirectly.

- Staff must not share confidential or sensitive information about the practice, patients, or other staff members on social media.
- Use of social media while at work should not interfere with job responsibilities.
- Staff members must respect copyright, privacy, fair use, and other applicable laws when posting on social media.
- Employees should be respectful and professional in all their social media interactions.
- Staff must not post defamatory or discriminatory comments on social media.
- When identifying themselves as a member of The Dental Practice on social media, staff members must make it clear that their expressed views are their own and not those of the practice.
Disciplinary Actions
Failure to adhere to this Social Media Policy can result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Agreement
Employees are expected to read, understand, and adhere to this Social Media Policy. Any questions regarding the policy should be directed to the Practice Manager.
Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or when there are significant changes to legislation, guidance or the practice's processes.
Approval
This Social Media Policy has been approved by senior management at The Dental Practice.
