The Royal Colleges syllabus for dental sedation training in pharmacology


This course on conscious sedation and pharmacology is designed to exactly meet the training requirements syllabus set by the royal colleges of surgeons and the Royal College of Aneasthetists for dental professionals.

It can also be used as an update towards the CPD requirements for professionals who are already trained in sedation. 12 hours of sedation-based CPD are required, in a five-year cycle ,for practitioners providing conscious sedation. (CPD and ‘update’ courses offering knowledge and skills training do not need external accreditation.)

The course will additionally be valuable to dental professionals who do not practice sedation themselves, but refer or are considering referring some of their patients for this.
